Coaches' Corner

Tune in here to Coaches Corner where you will find important coaching information, links to resources, sites, and coaching manuals.
Links For Players

Fine Soccer.com - This soccer site offers simple drills and exercises kids can do anywhere to improve their basic skills. Players can sign up for a regular newsletter that offers interesting articles on training, advice on playing the game and information on how to become a better player.

Gregg Riess.com - This is a fairly simple site, but contains animated images that demonstrate 15 different trick moves. Young players can watch the move over and over until they learn the move.

Strong Soccer.com - Another good site with video clips of trick moves and fakes kids can use to improve their ability to beat defenders one on one. The clips are short and can be played over and over again. They are a great way for young players to learn the proper technique for some pretty impressive moves.
Links For Coaches

Bruce Brown Lee.com - This site contains some technical information. It explains how to head in crosses and provides detailed explanations of how to strike the ball and improve other skills.

Decatur Sports.com - An excellent resource for coaches. This soccer site includes dozens of skill development drills as well as pre-developed practice plans created for a variety of age groups by a qualified American coach. There is also a series of links to other coaching sites.

Eteamz Active.com - Another great resource for drills designed to improve the fundamentals of the game. Neatly broken into skill categories, the games are suitable for all ages and many include progressions for older and more advanced players. There is also a good section for new coaches, and a regular newsletter that provides high-quality instruction.

World Class Coaching.com - A bit advanced, but this site does contain some valuable practice plans from some of the top clubs in the world, including Liverpool, Ajax and Real Madrid. Remarkably, the games are relatively simple and work the fundamentals of the sport. Coaches can sign up for a regular newsletter that contains a high-quality soccer drill from one of these clubs. With each newsletter, you will have to scroll past promotions for soccer books and videos, coaching clinics around the United States and other advertising before getting to the drill. It's well worth the trouble
